Nick you lightweight!! We camped in a puddle right on the perimiter fence, it was like a shanty town down there. The weather, the mud, the facilities could not spoil it a bit. The deep mud and the adversity thrown at us by the weather only galvanised everyones spirit. I have been three times now, the first time was in 2003 when it was absolutely boiling and this time was the best of the lot.
Perhaps its a bit too hardcore for you why not try a nice weekend in brighton or something next year.
Hmm, I think if I developed trenchfoot and the docs told me not to remain in the mud where I contracted said infection, I’d follow their advice an’ all…
But then I really AM a lightweight.
