I can’t really understand the popularity of Patrick Wolf, I always think that he’s trying a bit too hard… That, and only people in London seem to like him. So it’s just as well that an imminent secret gig of his is to take place in the big smoke.

Contrary to what you say, Patrick Wolf has spent the year playing sold out shows across the world. He has just finished his third tour of the US this year, is currently on his second tour of Australia and Japan, and his forthcoming UK tour is well on its way to a complete sell out – some tickets remain for Exeter and Leicester. Far from being pretentious, his shows are heartfelt and a lot of fun.
