Roy_Orbison.jpg“Anything you want…” How about naming a new type of beetle after you? “…you got it.” Yep. One of the weirder stories I’m-a gonna tell you is that the late Roy Orbison has had a new species of beetle named after him. I don’t mean the car, and I certainly don’t mean a Beatle.
Quentin Wheeler (sounds like a 70s AOR group) who is an entomologist at the Arizona State University, made an announcement at a Roy Orbison tribute concert late last month, where he told a heap of people in black wigs and big black shades that the insect found in India will be called the Orectochilus Orbisonorum.
