Quasimoto once spat “you’re tryin’ keep it real when you should try keepin’ it right”, and one man definitely keepin’ it all correct is the mighty Aesop Rock. Aesop Rock (aka Ace Rizzle aka Ian Matthias Bavitz) was the spearhead of the new wave of underground acts that emerged during the late ’90s and is signed to El-P’s brilliant Definitive Jux label. Like all good rappers, Aesop Rock is a demon behind the desk too, creating slow burning jams that are more infectious than blue tongue.
