Festivals round-up: T In The Park, Roskilde, Oxegen - further spirits undampened, exhausted Winehouse visits pub shocker
It’s been another weekend of festival action and maybe a few light showers. Let’s see how it all went, shall we?
- Amy Winehouse’s pesky bout of exhaustion forced her to pull out of T In The Park. Guess she must have been feeling a bit better by Saturday night, since I know at least two people who saw her boozing it up in Camden pubs with her hubby (and some pals who were on the pink Lambrini)
- Rain, mud, traffic. They seem to be recurring themes this year, and T In The Park was no exception. Sadly some people had to be turned away on Friday evening
- Snow Patrol’s keyboardist almost missed their show because he had been residing in a jail cell
- Denmark’s Roskilde festival experienced its wettest ever event this year. Pitchfork has a first-hand account from site
- Oxegen in County Kildare also suffered from the rain, but at least it allowed the BBC to recycle these flipping words in its report: Spirits. Dampen. Festivalgoers. Failed. To.
