- It’s a point more and more people seem to be making - Live Earth will need to clean up its own mess to be taken seriously as an environmentally conscious event.
- The Oxegen festival takes place this weekend in Co Kildare, Ireland. You know what that means, don’t you? Survival Guide time
- There will be rain at T in the Park, you won’t be surprised to hear. What may shock you is that you can also expect some sun, according to the met office. That’s what happens if you get a Beach Boy in

- A band of British scientists will perform the first ever concert in Antarctica as part of Live Earth. It’s also their first performance anywhere. ‘Antarctic Monkeys’, anyone?
- The Lake Stage will be a new addition to Latitude this year, and will showcase up-and-coming acts
- Guilfest, which is staged from 13th - 15th July, has released a DVD movie of last year’s event, including interviews with bands and punters as well as artist performances
- In other Guilfest news, Kal Els Cape are the unsigned band who won a competition to play the festival’s Ents24 stage

- If you’re planning on attending Fflam you better snap your tickets up quick sharp, as they’re expected to sell out
