Ace Of Base are back; but where’s the blonde one?
I Thought You Were Dead!, Music News, Video
Ace of Base (right, click image to enlarge) have reformed! Tell your friends. Lessavalook at their YouTube page blurb:
With an all-new line-up, re-recorded songs, new management, the new web 2.0 tools, their social commitment combined with a high tech vision on communication, user interaction and distribution of their music, Ace of Base is again completely in tune with their time and ready to rock the World!
They’ve got “the new web 2.0 tools”?? Sign me the hell up.
Seriously though, no blonde one? She was always the least worst thing about the Base. Turns out blonde one - real name Malin Berggren - left the band in 2007
Wait, it took her that long? Well anyway, now they’re just a trio and in a chilling YouTube dispatch - which you can witness below - they threaten that their forthcoming album “will be fun. It will be very enjoyable, and it really will come out I promise you.”
Be warned.

Oh and just for the hell of it, here’s “All That She Wants”:

Oh those childhood memories of ‘Happy Nation’ (U.S Version) will soon come flooding back… You’re right though. The blonde one was the best thing about them (super hot I should say), and call me cynical - but I just don’t think that Joker, Buddha and the other one (that was their names right) have what the kids of today need…
Can’t wait to see those web 2.0 tools at work though… I scanned Twitter but no sign of them there yet ;-)
Linn prefers a quiet life now, and has faded from view the past several years. She has become the new Agnetha Fältskog (formerly of ABBA, who herself has been called the new Greta Garbo by the papers).
Yes Linn has left the group so she could go back to her first love which is teaching. She was my favorite too, If you like ‘Happy Nation’ you should check out ‘Da Capo’ which came out in 2003. My faves from that are ‘Whats the Name of the Game’, ‘Change With the Light’ and ‘Don’t Stop’ (I think I have the Japan import, so you might wanna check the track listings) I am excited about their new album which includes a remix cd of their classic hits and a dvd with 20 of their vids. Their new cd comes out on Thursday November 13th 2008 and I am excited about it. In recent news they just won an World Music Award and currently on a world tour spanning the globe until the end of ‘09. Still going strong after a decade, rock on Ace of Base!! much love to you and to all the acers out there you know who you are
