Bjork comments on that pesky China/Tibet controversy what she done
A couple of weeks back Mof posted on Bjork’s now infamous comments about Tibet, which she made from the stage in China. Of course, a fair amount of stuff (I believe that’s the correct political term) has kicked off on that front recently. Bjork (dressed as a Quality Street wrapper, left) has now spoken out about the shitstorm (again, political term) that came about after her appearance earlier in the month.
Read what she’s got to say about the controversy in an interview The Lipster conducted with her after the jump (imagine it being spoken in a weirdy little Pingu voice, obviously).
“When I said “Tibet, Tibet”, I whispered it three times… China said, ‘It’s obvious Björk planned a trip to China with the purpose of political propaganda gathering… and I was like, no! It’s not true! It’s a question of [them] sensationalising it.”
