Bomb The Bass, Midnight Juggernauts to appear at City Showcase 2008

Festival News, Music News

Remember 1987, kids? Oh. Well anyway, one of the biggest tunes of that year was “Beat Dis” by Bomb The Bass - it reached number 2 in the charts and helped pave the way for acid house and rave/DJ culture’s journey to mainstream success. Twenty years since BTB’s last live performance, they’ve been booked to appear at this year’s City Showcase on 4th June at London’s Astoria. Should you be curious you can see a picture of them to the left, cleverly arranged to disguise how old they are.

Joining Tim Simenon (who basically is Bomb The Bass) on City Showcase’s bill will be remix guru Eddy Temple-Morris, Aussie electro-bollockers Midnight Juggernauts, and “festival favourites” (it says here) A.Human, among many others.
Tickets for the 16 gigs in the City Showcase, which runs from 2nd - 6th June, are only a fiver; but if you want to attend the Bomb The Bass show you’ll need to pay £15 (that also gets you entry to all the other gigs in the line-up).
