Download organisers are already planning next year’s festival

Festival News

They say there’s no rest for the wicked – so Download organisers must have done something really, really bad. Just days after a fantastic weekend headlined by My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park, organisers are already looking ahead to Download 2008.
If initial plans are anything to go by, it’ll top this year’s successes. Director Stuart Galbraith wants “a mix of cutting edge and classic” and his team are already chasing the Foo Fighters, Muse and AC/DC to fit that bill.

Galbraith was reportedly chuffed to bits with the smooth running of this year’s Download, saying there was even a reduction in the number of festival-goers needing medical treatment. Tickets for Download 2008 go on sale this Friday with no increase from this year’s prices, so snap up your bargain quick and keep your fingers crossed they can bag Dave Grohl and co.
