See our little moblog widget on the right sidebar over there? That’s where we can send photos from our phones from any gigs/festivals and the like we happen to attend.
It’s hosted by the folk at Moblog.co.uk, who have now hooked up with Greenpeace, Oxfam and Wateraid for Love The Farm - Leave No Trace, a moblog dedicated to capturing the sights of this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Appropriately it’s also available as a mobile site, at m.leavenotrace.org.uk.

Bloggers from each of the organisations will be sending in pictures to show environmentally-friendly practices in action, as well as, no doubt, a fair few snaps of bands and punters and the like.
leave_no_trace_map.gifSubmissions will be marked on a Google map so that people can see where the best examples of green living are. Another feature of the map is that, since it marks where pictures have been posted from, it’s a great way to show people where cash machines are, etc (as long as you have a handset that can access it, natch - click map on right to enlarge).
They’re also asking everyone else to send in their snaps as well, by sending an SMS or MMS with the keyword TIDY at the start to 07786 201 241. The Leave No Trace bloggers will also be using Spinvox, which allows them to have any voice messages they leave converted into text so that they can also appear on the site.
The idea behind the whole initiative is that the only trace that people should leave behind are their images, texts and video.
The site’s filling up quite nicely already, from shots of all the folk getting the train to the site to people relaxing onsite.
Alongside this enviro-techno-wizardry, part of the campaign is also the use of thousands of biodegradable tent pegs, which will be given away to campers so that animals on the farm will escape injury afterwards.
