My Bloody Valentine reform and sell out…
For me, it seems weird that the bands I listened to in my teens are all hitting the comeback trail… it seems like they haven’t been away for long enough to warrant a fanfared return. In saying that, I almost faint when I think of seeing the epic walls of feedback of the majestic My Bloody Valentine. Their three comeback gigs have sold-out within minutes of going on sale this morning.
The tickets for the three shows went on sale at 9am, and by fifteen minutes past, the London Roundhouse show on June 20 and the show at Glasgow Barrowlands on July 2 sold-out… but there are a handful of tickets available for the Manchester Apollo show… at the time of press…
The legendary noiseniks haven’t played together since 1992, after the release of their last album ‘Loveless’ in 1991. Kevin Shields has sporadically appeared with Primal Scream, both live and in the studio, but this will mark the first real return of the psychedelic indie behemoths.
MBV will play:
London, The Roundhouse (June 20)
Manchester, Apollo (28)
Glasgow, Barrowland (July 2)
