MySpace bus hosts headliners at Gatecrasher festival after main stage closes

Festival News, Music News

Gatecrasherpics_5.jpgSome pretty grim reports from Gatecrasher at the weekend. Saddest of all was that a man was found dead, with the cause of death as yet unreported.
Due to the weather the main stage was shut down on the second and final day, meaning the assembled revellers missed out on The Chemical Brothers and Hot Chip. Despite a surprise appearance from Lily Allen and sets from Justice, CSS and Dizzee Rascal, many punters are now appealing for refunds - it’ll be interesting to see if any of them receive them.

With apparently no information point and very little shelter provided, it would seem that, once again, UK festival organisers were undone by that most predictably unpredictable element of UK festivals, the weather.
Artists_2.jpgOn a brighter note, the MySpace bus played a more central part than was probably originally intended, with Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and Crystal Castles relocating there to play sets. Not perfect for a crowd of thousands, but better than nothing, eh?
