lovebox weekender 2009 N.E.R.D featuring Pharrell Williams to headline Lovebox Weekender 2009 So the good news is that Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo will be headlining Lovebox Weekender 2009 alongside Duran Duran and, unsurprisingly, organisers Groove Armada.
Also appearing will be Friendly Fires, Florence & The Machine, Simian Mobile Disco and Ladyhawke among others. The event takes place at London’s Victoria Park on 18th & 19th July.
The bad news, for pop ego-watchers at least, is that the press release lists N.E.R.D as “N.E.R.D featuring Pharrell Williams”.

I give it six months before they start appearing as “Pharrell Williams featuring N.E.R.D”, and then another three until it’s “Pharrell Williams and friends”.
Shunning the notion that people are cutting back on luxuries in 2009, the organisers will also be providing plenty of “boutique” touches such as “massage and complimentary therapies” and thelondonpaper’s Sourced Market - basically Borough market brought to Hackney. Where better to buy posh cheese than a hot summer festival full of people off their nuts?
