The Wombats to play newsagents, pick up pint of milk
Those crazy up-and-coming Liverpudlian scamps, The Wombats (not pictured, right), will play a newsagents at the end of the month after the shop in question won a competition to find “the best independent newsagent in the country”.
Lucky old Vitesse Quick Service And Food will have to clear their boxes of crisps to make way for the three-piece, who - in case you were in any doubt as to their wacky credentials - have a song called “Let’s Dance To Joy Division”. Catch them before they take off - you can expect them to upgrade to motorway service stations and supermarkets within six months.
If you miss them at Vitesse on the 28th September you can probably catch them another time, since they’re playing pretty much everywhere in the world ever from now until December.
