Amy Winehouse gig to be powered by sweat and wee-wee?

You thought she ran on crack and eyeliner, didn’t you? Well, maybe she still does. But apparently Amy Winehouse is all set to pull in £350,000 to appear at a venue powered by a much overlooked source of renewable energy: human sweat and urine.
Watt, a Dutch (might’ve guessed, eh?) nightclub, is going to be powered by the fluids of the venue clientèle themselves.

So I suppose the music they’re playing on particular nights, and what substances the clubbers have ingested, may affect how well the power works… If it’s a techno night that strobe’s going to be working overtime, but if there’s a reggae evening they might be lucky to generate enough power to even get the decks working.
What are the practicalities of a scheme like this? Don’t know! Don’t care! It just makes for a great story. Whether it actually happens, of course, is another matter entirely.
