Here’s one to file under the ‘please, god no’ category of your brain, we think. Both Britney Spears and her ex Kevin Federline apparently want an interview with journalist Martin Bashir to ‘set the record straight’.
Britney is aiming to ‘win back public sympathy’, according to Digital Spy, while K-Fed wants to ‘make sure his side of the story is told’.

Kids, kids, kids, don’t you remember Princess Diana? Her interview with the infamous Bashir was where it all started to go wrong for her. And need we mention Michael Jackson? Everyone remembers THAT documentary, and not for the wonderful light in which it portrayed the singer.
Still, the pair seem uncontrollable at the moment so it’ll probably happen – particularly if Bashir has anything to do with it. He is, unsurprisingly, chuffed at the prospect. Digital Spy quotes one newspaper source: “As far as Martin is concerned it would be all of his Christmases come at once if he could secure a deal with both of them.”
“He is really keen to do an interview that would blow the lid off their private lives. It would guarantee millions of viewers worldwide. In an ideal world, he would love to get them both in the same room. Kevin is up for that but Britney is less keen. Either way, it would be explosive viewing to get them both to open up their hearts to him.” Don’t do it Britters!
