Download headliners My Chemical Romance “rubbish”, says Manson.
My Chemical Romance are a sad, pitiful, shallow copy of Marilyn Manson, according to the man himself. Manson is so riled by this perceived identity theft that he has penned a song, ‘Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form Of Flattery’, about it. The track appears on his new album ‘Eat Me Drink Me’.
It would have been interesting to see where their dressing rooms would have been located at this weekend’s Download Festival – but sadly they’re playing different nights. Both are playing the Main Stage, though My Chemical Romance are headlining there on Friday night, whereas Manson takes second billing under Linkin Park on Saturday night. Maybe this is where Manson’s sour grapes have stemmed from?
