chromeofancyfootwork Electrofunk Friday: Chromeos Bonafied Lovin video channels Dire StraitsI mentioned recently that I’m going through an electro / synth-funk phase. Not sure where it’s come from… although missing out on seeing Prince this summer probably has something to do with it. Goddamn, I’m going to regret that forever.
ANYWAY. A friend recently turned me onto Chromeo, who are practitioners of a breed of electro that is heavily influenced by early Prince. Their new album “Fancy Footwork” is brilliant, full of the type of stuff you want to hear as you’re getting ready for a night out.


As if that wasn’t enough, their new single, “Bonafied Lovin” has a video which takes its cue from Dire Straits’ once-seminal-now-kind-of-naff-looking “Money For Nothing”. You can watch it in the little box below.
