Morrisey tickets on sale Friday - eBay rubs its hands, employers throw theirs up

Music News

Never mind peer-to-peer networks and spammers - one of internet’s biggest tests is when cult figures and huge acts release gig tickets. So it is that this Friday an almighty virtual scrum will take place as tickets go on sale for Morrisey’s January residency at London’s Camden Roundhouse.
The gigs - his first in the UK since 2006 - will take place on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 26th and 27th January. As the recent quick sell-out of My Bloody Valentine’s reunion shows - and those tickets’ reemergence on eBay mere hours later - showed, live music is undoubtedly where the money’s at these days.
Mozza tickets always sell out quick smart, so there’s no reason to suppose this time will be any different. As the tickets hit the market at 9am, methinks there may be a slight drop in productivity at some employers’ premises this Friday…
