In what is absolutely not an attempt to get their users to buy more CDs, online CD store musicmagpie.co.uk have announced that Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures is the most iconic album cover of all time. In possibly related news, online CD store musicmagpie.co.uk sell CDs. In blatant missed opportunity news, a search on musicmagpie.co.uk’s website fails to bring up said album.
A poll of 1,000 users from the site saw The Stone Roses’ debut album come in second, and The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band take third spot.
