Kanye West teams up with Hype Williams for “Heartless” video
Anyone who can make a new video seem like something of an event has to be doing something right in these slightly jaded, seen-it-all-before-fanks days. Kanye’s new video is directed by industry leg-end Hype Williams, and is pretty compulsive viewing.
Why? Er, it’s just really pretty. It’s a smooth animation which, at various points, makes me think of Yellow Submarine, Grand Theft Auto and the Charlie Says stranger danger spots from years ago.
There’s also a bit where cartoon Kanye SMOKES. I’m slightly ashamed and quite bewildered that I found this shocking. What does that say about the world we are living in, etc etc etc?!?!?!??

Listen to the song. It means frustration, bitterness. A lot of ppl smoke for these reasons. Why dont you go criticize movies which contain smoking scene unnecessarily??? Geez.
You’re quite right, of course. Of the numerous reasons smokers tend to give for embarking on their habit, “frustration” and “bitterness” are right up there with “to look cool”.
