The tale of Solange and the “Sandcastle Disco”

Music News, Pop Heaven / Pop Hell, Video

Once upon a time, The Man stole Beyonce’s face and put it on a much more interesting character, and he called that character Solange.
Then some other stuff happened, and then Solange came out with a piece of sun-snogged pop cuddliness called “Sandcastle Disco”. It had “organic”, soul-infused percussion and an irresistably breezy melody. Even the title was amazing, FFS.

In the video, Solange pranced around on huge musical instruments, records and, um, tins of soup. She looked like she was having a lovely time. She expressed this by going “ooh-ooh” and “ba-ba-baby” quite a bit, and everyone loved her for it.
Everyone bought it and it went to number one all over the world. Solange’s big sister Beyonce then remembered that pop music was supposed to be fun, so she teamed up with Solange and they did a cover of something like, I dunno, Charles & Eddie’s “Would I Lie To You”. This also was a massive hit and the world went to bed happy.
The end.
