late of the pier Late Of The Piers Bathroom Gurgle video: Get your hands on some cheap wine I have been listening to Late Of The Pier’s album Fantasy Black Channel in a rather obsessive and repetitive manner recently. I imagine there are probably some moanypants out there who will deride LOTP as Klaxons copycats, what with the ravey synths and apparent “chuck everything at the wall and see what sticks” approach.
I say poo-poo and tishwash to those moanypants, should they indeed exist. Fantasy Black Channel contains a very impressive amount of imagination and pop nous beneath the racket, and to pull that off is a skill I have long admired in musicy peoples.
ANYWAYZZZ. Conveniently, LOTP have just gone and done a new video for “Bathroom Gurgle” - probably not the best track on the album, but it is a bit of a party maniac, containing lyrics such as:

So put your hands on your waistline
And move you body to the bassline
And get your hands on some cheap wine
And just-a move it ’til you feel fine

Chuck in some shrieking, drawing on faces and plenty of ravey goodness, and you have yourself a rather pleasing package. See what I mean after the jump.
