Lily Allen’s foolproof festival get-out clause
Do you remember when you were little and didn’t want to do P.E. because it was raining and muddy and… well – just like a festival really? What did you do? That’s right, got Mum to write you a sick note. That or forged one yourself. Step forward Lily Allen.
Her continuous globe trotting has given her, according to her MySpace blog, sinusitis and strep throat. But rather than let her fans choose to simply believe her, she’s posted her sick note on the internet! Genius.
Allen’s lurgy means she’ll miss out on planned appearances at Norway’s Oya Festival, Way Out West in Sweden, Sagres in Portugal and Holland’s Lowlands Festival. She says that she hopes to be back in shape for V on August 19th.
