One-Hit Wonderful - Mr Oizo’s “Flat Beat”

Ah. Mr Oizo Remember him? Oizo came to the attention of the public at large with his sublime squelchy disco banger, Flat Beat, which featured Flat Eric on a Levi’s ad. Of course, Oizo didn’t just down tools… he continued (not to the same commercial success) with a variety of odd records and LPs including Moustache (Half a Scissor), Last Night A DJ Killed My Dog and Nazis. His skewed view of the world cut through his unique brand of techno, winning many over who would normally baulk at the notion of techno. So with that, let’s revisit his big choon. Here’s Flat Beat.
