scarlett Scarlett Johansson set to add hipness to hotness by releasing album Clearly not satisfied with being the numero uno screen goddess for men the world over, Scarlett Johansson will release her debut album in the spring, according to NME.
And it doesn’t sound like this is going to be some ill-judged foray into naff pop, either. She’s got Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner to help her out and apparently much of the material will be comprised of covers of Tom Waits songs, suggesting she’s targetting the hip brigade.
So if it still turns out to be ill-judged she’ll have blown a whole lot of cool, but if it goes well she will officially be the Will Smith of indie rock or something. I look forward to the promo videos.
