To my shame, I think Albert Hammond, Jr’s new single “GFC” is the first of his solo material I’ve checked out. I’m pleased/frustrated to report that I wish I’d done so earlier, and am now pretty eager to hear more of his stuff. Oh, his new album ¿Cómo Te Llama? is streaming on MySpace. Maybe I’ll listen to that, then.
I have to say I’m pretty surprised at how close to Julian Casablancas’s singing style he comes. (Julian Casablancas. Remember? The lead singer?) I’m also quite surprised at how close the opening of his new video comes to the threesome scene in Zoolander, but that’s by the by.
