Alterhit.com offers chance for bands to play Big Chill and Underage Festival

Festival News, Music News

However worried/amused you are by the state of flux the music industry is in right now, it is good to see that the huge number of festivals out there is providing more opportunities for up-and-coming bands to receive exposure.
Sure, most people probably still go along to fests to check out headliners/acts they already know, but there’s always the chance they’ll be exposed to something new and exciting.
The latest festivals to offer unknown bands a spot on their bills are the Big Chill and Underage Festivals, which both take place in August. Acts are encouraged to submit music to alterhit.com, which is running the competition in association with Love Music Hate Racism.

The winning acts - one band, one solo artist - will be those who sell the most music through alterhit.com, and will go on to perform at both festivals. No voting and no judging is involved - it’s all about the Benjamins, baby. So if you’re in a band, here’s your chance to test your fanbase’s loyalty.
I would go on to tell you more about alterhit.com, but I’m afraid the press release lost me at this sentence:

“Alterhit has a special three pronged approach to user interfacing”.

So maybe just go to alterhit.com for more info.
