Oasis’s Dig Out Your Soul artwork a typically understated affair

Basically, it looks a bit like an apocalyptic version of Be Here Now. Instead of a Rolls Royce we have what I presume is a very symbolic butterfly, etc.
No complaints here, though, as it fulfills all the criteria one requires from an Oasis album cover in that it is a) bombastic and b) meaningless.
And if you’d like more non-specific symbolism, click through to read the album’s tracklisting. One of them’s called “The Nature Of Reality”, and is almost definitely going put a lot of so-called “philosophers” in their place.

The track listing for Dig Out Your Soul, due for release on October 6 2008:
• Bag It Up
• The Turning
• Waiting For The Rapture
• The Shock Of The Lightning
• I’m Outta Time
• (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady
• Falling Down
• To Be Where There’s Life
• Ain’t Got Nothin’
• The Nature of Reality
• Soldier On
