DJdownload.com offers Chemical Brothers, loads of other EMI dance artists for DRM-free download

DRM-free dance MP3s a go-go are on the horizon at DJdownload.com, following a deal with major label EMI. This of course means that tracks from many of the smaller imprints within the EMI group will become available. Positiva is one such case, so pretty soon you won’t need to go to iTunes to get your hands on Spiller’s “Groovejet” or chart dance hits by acts such as Shapeshifters, Axwell and Deep Dish.
But it doesn’t end there.
You’ll also be able to get the Chemical Brothers and LCD Soundsystem back catalogues, plus material by established acts like Hot Chip, Massive Attack, Radiohead, Tracey Thorn and Roisin Murphy. DJdownload.com already powers Ministry of Sound’s download store, so they’re pretty well established in the whole music download scene.
Hopefully this is just the latest step in the challenge to the iTunes dominance of the (paid for) music download market…
