Festivals Update: T In The Park reviews, Guilfest’s mud-free offerings, Madonna goes gypsy-punk

- Despite experiences like those detailed here at this year’s event, the early tickets for T In The Park 2008 have sold like hot tatty scones
- Latitude will have an open-air stage this year, after the original tent was ripped apart by the good old British weather. This article seems to tempt fate the whole way through, emphasising how beautiful everything looks… let’s hope it stays that way after the rain, eh?

- “Glastonbury In The City”, given the scenes of rain such a term suggests, may not be the best label to put on Guilfest. But being in Guildford it should provide an alternative to the mud, at least
- The T In The Park reviews are coming through - The Guardian and The Times have pretty short verdicts compared to their Glasto coverage, while The Daily Record has an amusingly reactionary response
Finally, if you were expecting to see Gogol Bordello at T - and they do seem to be this year’s breakout act - this is why you missed them. Madonna clicked her fingers.
