JAMC Jesus and Mary Chain post new demos on their MySpace pageEver since those Scot miserablists, Jesus And Mary Chain, got it back on, I’ve been online stalking them to the point of virtual restraining order. Nice to be rewarded with a buncha new demos then! Yep. You read correct… JAMC have got three new demos on their MySpace page right now. The tracks are called ‘War On Peace’, ‘Cookies’ and ‘Boiling Over’ and are the band’s first new sounds since ‘Munki’ in ‘98.

“War On Peace” is a skuzzy Velvet’s style drone (think of the quiet bits in “Heroin”) while the other tracks are more up-tempo. To be honest, I hope that these tracks are left untouched in time for the album as production sparkle will only brighten these up popward… and who wants JAMC to sound like that? Not me. Either way, the new stuff sounds sleazy and great. The band, who reformed for a fistful of shows last year, are gearing up to play two nights at London’s Roundhouse venue on March 11 and 12.
