Nokia Skate Almighty: fall on your arse to Hot Chip, Norman Jay and Zero 7

Music News

nokia_skate_almighty.gifApparently roller-skating - not rollerblading, cyberpunk - is the hot activity to be doing this summer. It must be, I saw a fashion shoot based around this very theme in the paper the other day.
So Nokia Skate Almighty has come along at just about the right time, by the looks of it. This is an ennertainment wonderland where you can whizz about on four wheels while bands and DJs entertain your ears/mind/soul. It therefore qualifies, officially, as a sensory stimulation roller disco extravaganza bonanza, and it takes place over the next three weekends.

It’s taking place in London, Manchester and Birmingham, and slated to appear at the various locations are: Hot Chip, Zero 7, Norman Jay, Guilty Pleasures, Bodyrox, Alistair Whitehead and Seamus Haij. The website doesn’t specify who’s appearing where, so you’ll have to just cross your fingers if you’re hoping to see Hot Chip.
As I said, tickets are free - you just need to register and you’ll be sent a text message which will get you entry to the event.
The dates for each city are:
London: Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th July
Birmingham: Friday 18th, Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th July
Manchester: 25th, 26th, Sunday 27th July
