 Reverend And The Makers to launch brand new Carling Academy in SheffieldA brand spanking new Carling Academy is to open in Sheffield which is, of course, the hometown of Pulp, Richard Hawley, Human League, Warp Records and Def Leppard. So which of these luminaries will be kicking off proceedings? Well, it’s local Verve-on-Es band Reverend And The Makers - first on the stage on Friday 11th April 2008.
The venue (the former Roxy nightclub) can be found at 37-43 Arundel Gate, Sheffield, S1 1DE, with tickets available from 14th December for £15 advance. Future shows on sale at Carling Academy Sheffield include KT Tunstall (Wednesday 16th April - £22.50 adv) and The Pigeon Detectives (Wednesday 21st May – £13.50 adv).
