Rufus Wainwright and Guillemots added to Hop Farm Festival bill
Hmm, I’m pretty sure last time we talked about the Hop Farm Festival, Vince Power’s sponsorship-free shindig, it was called “Back To Basics”. Looks like that bit’s been dropped now, and it is officially called the Hop Farm Festival. So that’s that cleared up.
Anyway, the REAL news is that the bill is taking shape quite nicely. Previously announced headliner Neil Young you probably already knew about, and in addition to him you can expect to enjoy the sounds of: Primal Scream, Supergrass, My Morning Jacket, Guillemots and Rufus Wainwright.
People love Rufus Wainwright, don’t they? He doesn’t do much for me personally, or indeed my esteemed colleague. I did catch some footage of him going down a storm at Glasto a few years back though, so maybe he works better in the context of a live performance.
The Hop Farm Festival, which will have a capacity of 30,000 peeps no less, takes place on Sunday 6th July in Kent. Tickets cost £49.50 and can be found at See Tickets.

Rufus doesn’t do anything for you? Well obviously you’re not listening! That’s like saying no to the Beatles! Seriously, have another listen.
I liked “Going To A Town”, but that’s about it, sorry…
