Under The Covers - The Dickies do The Banana Splits

Under The Covers, Video

Now and again, a cover version appears that makes so much sense that you wonder why everyone isn’t on to it. The Dickies 1979 cover of the Banana Splits theme (Tra-La-La) was a pop-punk winner that roused the rabble with joyous camp humour. Why haven’t more pop-punk bands covered children’s themes? Can you imagine Green Day doing Wizbit or something?
