Bloc Party added to Electric Proms bill

Nicest man in rock,Kele Okereke and his Bloc Party, have been announced as the latest headline addition for this month’s BBC Electric Proms. They will play October 27 at the Roundhouse, supported by Mercury Prize nominees Maps. The same night also sees Breed 77 and Amplifier rock Camden’s Barfly.
Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell is also now appearing for the Electric Proms’ finale headed up by Ray Davies on October 28. The former Kinks songwriter will be showcasing material from his second solo album ‘Working Man’s Cafe’ which is due for release the following day as well as classic hits from The Kinks’ canon including the brilliant ‘The Kinks are the Village Preservation Society’. Also playing for the Proms will be Paul McCartney, Mark Ronson and Siouxsie Sioux. Crikey! A lot of bands there!
