Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Warren Zevon: a match made in summer-smash heaven
There WILL be a summer this year. I performed noisy prayer rituals to the Sun God Taaahlwahreevu every night during the winter to make sure. On the downside I was evicted from my home, but on the up it means flip-flops are go! Soon! Honest!
All of which means we need some good ol’ summer tunes to start emerging from the poposphere. Mystery Jets’ “Two Doors Down” is good, although the video lends it an ironic twist when what we’re really looking for is some ultra-sincere Americana.
