Hot Chip’s “Wrestlers” video brings the not-terribly-convincing smackdown

“Wrestlers” was always one of my favourite tracks on Ready For The Floor, so it’s interesting to see how Hot Chip have approached the video. It’s probably not going to bring them a WWE soundtrack payday, but it does feature LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy doing a fair bit of menacing flexing, plus Joe Goddard crooning away while covered in blood and bruises.
As usual oddball Alexis Taylor steals the show, however - he wears what looks like a bin bag at one point, an Air Jordan t-shirt at another, he looks like the guy from that Mr Muscle ad… and yet he somehow still manages to unsettle.
