If you hang around the music blogosphere much it might have come to your attention that this month it's five years since Elliott Smith passed away.

I've written previously about how much I loved (and continue to love) his music, so I won't bang on about it again. Suffice to say if you like your sensitive singer-songwriters you should really check him out. After the jump you can see his first solo video, for the song "Coming Up Roses" from his self-titled second album. It's pretty basic, but the tune is classic Smithy loveliness.
