The End of the Road Festival has today placed a limited allocation of day tickets on sale. Winner of Best New Festival at the 2006 UK Festival Awards, the festival takes place from 14 - 16 September and features a cracking line-up set amidst various enchanting attractions in the beautiful Larmer Tree Gardens in North Dorset (I've been... it truly is a gorgeous setting).
The day tickets will cost £40 for Friday and £45 for Saturday or Sunday and are available from the festival website at http://www.endoftheroadfestival.com.
Highlights in the line-up are Yo La Tengo, Willard Grant Conspiracy, Giant Sand, Viking Moses, Super Furry Animals, The Bees, King Creosote, Hush The Many (stars of last years festival), the wonderful Lambchop, Howe Gelb, Seasick Steve, James Yorkston, Euros Childs and Malcolm Middleton. In addition to the fine musical offerings, further goings-on at this intimate 5000-capacity festival include a Library in the Woods, a Swedish café, oversized animals, "Folk Idol", a Cider Bus, songwriting workshops and wayward parrots and peacocks.
