I'm sure you'll have seen all the promo ads for Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak on bus stops and stuff recently. Have you, like me, pondered whether that bow tie he sports is likely to become a hot fashion item in a similar manner to those shutter shades you now find on every other market stall?

Well look at never-knowingly-undapper rapper Common as he performs his new tune "Universal Mind Control" on Jimmy Kimmel the other night. He rocks the bow tie with a panache the kid from that Super Noodles ad never quite attained, which is nice for him but bad news for the man on the street in 2009. I think I might stay in for the whole year.
