It's Toni Braxton vs. Christina Milian in an R&B; comeback smackdown wail-off

Spring will see two erstwhile R&B; divas return to the fold with new albums. Christina Milian has just released her video for "Us Against The World", from her forthcoming album Dream In Color; while Toni Braxton's "Get Loose" has hit various spots of the internet ahead of her new album Pulse.
Let's pretend that ONLY ONE CAN SURVIVE, and compare their sleeky sleekness.
Christina Milian - "Us Against The World"
Is it a ballad or is it a dancefloor monstah?: It is a ballad.
Does it make you want to stare out of the window as you listen to it because it is so 'motional?: It wants to have such an effect, but falls a tad short.
Does it make you think "aw, Christina Milian! I've missed her!": Not really. It makes you think "What was that good one she did again? Oh yeah, 'AM To PM'! That was a while back now, wasn't it? :("
In the video, does she wear a costume which is so narrow in the crotchular area that you can't help but think, "blimey, bet she had to go and get waxed before this particular shoot"?: Yes.
Any other remarks?: The verses sound rather a lot like those in Usher's "Love In This Club".
Final grade: C
Toni Braxton - "Loose"
Is it a ballad or is it a dancefloor monstah?: It is a dancefloor monstah, albeit of the gentle variety. It has that Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins chap on board, you see.
Does it make you want to stare out of the window as you listen to it because it is so 'motional?: Don't be so fucking stupid. It makes you want to go to a swish bar and get a nice cocktail.
Does it make you think "aw, Toni Braxton! I've missed her!": Against the odds, it does a bit.
In the video, does she wear a costume which is so narrow in the crotchular area that you can't help but think, "blimey, bet she had to go and get waxed before this particular shoot"?: There is no video yet, as you can well see. You should not even have started asking that one.
Any other remarks?: "Get Loose" manages to have a lightness of touch while also instantly demanding a repeat listen. The same cannot be said for Milian's thing.
Final grade: A-
