Uh-oh. If Pete Doherty being jailed yesterday is the first step in the universe getting its own back on him for his years of lightly-punished naughtiness, the Babyshambles frontman might want to hide away in jail for a bit longer than 14 weeks.

I mean, Pedro got away with a fine and a driving ban for driving under the influence of drugs. Without a licence. He's been caught with drugs more times than Boots the chemist. And apparently he appeared in court over 15 times in 2004, avoiding serving time on each occasion.

Unsurprisingly, a gig he was due to play at the Royal Albert Hall later this month has been postponed. At least he has a decent excuse for not showing up this time...
