Wu-Tang Clan launch WuChess.com, the world's first online chess and hip-hop community

wuchess.gifA chess and hip-hop community. There's a niche you didn't spot, eh? Of course, RZA, GZA, Meth and the chaps have always had a distinct pseudo-spiritual, bonged-out approach to matters. I believe their first two albums alone contained 83,199 references to Shaolin and kung-fu.

But now they're "taking the game of life to the next level". Well it's about time someone did, isn't it?

WuChess.com will allow you to create a profile and compete against other players, live and online. Or, as the site has it: "Play live chess with people from all over the world and get your learn on."

"Get your learn on". The government should use that to encourage kids not to play truant. And maybe they could attract teachers to the profession with "Get Your Teach On".

Anyway, maybe you're thinking "hmm, how are they going to make money from this?" Wu-Tang are nothing if not shrewd, merchandise-savvy fellas, after all.

$48. It's $48 a year to play the ancient game of chess. On the internet. Brings to mind a certain Wu-Tang lyric:

Cash, Rules, Everything, Around, Me
C.R.E.A.M.
Get the money
Dollar, dollar bill y'all
