First Now That's What I Call Music to be reissued for 2009

It's just too late to save Woolies, but I suppose this will appeal to thirtysomethings who haven't heard of "downloads". The Now album that started it all, for better or worse, is to be reissued on double CD on Monday January 12th. The series was so successful that compilation albums of its nature were eventually excluded from the album chart proper.

So, while we're on a nostalgia tip, after the jump you can find the original 1983 TV ad for the album, with a voiceover from Tracey Ullman sounding a bit like her off Birds Of A Feather. Ullman features on the album as well, with a song called "They Don't Know"; a rather apt summation of most people's awareness of said track.
