Point On The Park: much rain = few punters?

If anyone's been looking for reviews of the recent Point On The Park festival they'll probably have been disappointed. Possibly because, according to the one of the comments at the end of this post from thisishampshire.net, fewer than 300 people actually attended.

This is the other side of the festival boom. The weather at Eastleigh at the weekend was, apparently, depressingly similar to that all over the country. So faced with that and a bill headlined by The Bootleg Beatles, it looks like a lot of people decided to stay away. The result? Outraged comments on a website from music fans and taxpayers alike. Were you there? Let us know if you attended / deliberately chose not to...

Readers?

OK, well at the risk of showing my age, I do. They were big news back in the olden days of Britpop and TFI Friday. It may seem like they vanished from view a long time ago, but they've actually been going this whole time, and building up quite the "live following" on the way. They're one of a few acts who will be playing Point On The Park in Eastleigh this coming weekend.
