Glastonbury & Match.com double-team for The Big Kiss

kiss.gifIn a splendid acknowledgment of the "free love" heritage of festivals, Glastonbury will this year stage an attempt at breaking the world collective kissing record. Organisers are hoping that 30,000 people will lock lips "with the person next to them" during "The Big Kiss", in the process breaking the current record which was set by 6,400 slobbering Hungarians earlier this year.

The record attempt will take place on the Sunday - by which time the participants will probably not have bathed for around three days - and will be soundtracked by, er, Madness. Let's hope they choose to play it "Must Be Love" at this point, since "Driving In My Car"'s spanner-on-engine percussion may ruin the romantic vibe somewhat.

I'd be interested to know how many teenage boys sprint over to the Lost Vagueness field to take part in this snogfest. And then end up having to tongue each other because it's already full of couples. Anyway, just in case you feared such a marketable event was going unsponsored, you can rest assured that those horny folk at Match.com are behind it all. I wonder if they've considered the lawsuits they could be inviting.
