The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and The Who to headline Glastonbury

The Killers will headline Glastonbury
Glastonbury is just two and a half weeks away, and all those annoying lucky people you know who already have tickets will be positively wetting themselves with excitement with today's announcement of the official line-up. Over 200 acts are booked to play, with yank rockers The Killers set to headline on Saturday night. Brandon and his band warmed up for The White Stripes in 2005.

The Who and the Arctic Monkeys (is it only me who can’t get excited about the Monkeys?) will headline the other nights.

A whole host of top names after the break.

There aren’t many names on the list that aren’t notable – with the likes of The Fratellis, Bloc Party, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, the Guillemots and Kaiser Chiefs on the Pyramid Stage competing with Bjork, Rufus Wainright, Maximo Park, Babyshambles and the Super Furry Animals on the Other stage, you’re going to need a pretty regimented diary by the time the music starts on Friday. And that’s before you start thinking about the glories of the Green Fields. The John Peel stage is also going to be worth a visit, with Hot Chip, The Twang and The Gossip headlining Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

This year's Glastonbury will be the biggest ever, with 177,000 people set to attend, and over 400,000 people pre-registering for tickets.

If all this piques your interest, click here to see how you're still in a chance with bagging a ticket for the music extravaganza, which kicks off in just two and a half weeks.
